geohazard inspection

Our GeoHazard tool is a high precision, multi-sensor tool primarily designed for mapping pipeline centerlines, calculating bending strain and measuring axial stress to establish a total strain state for each segment of pipe and quickly diagnose any geohazard initiated threat to pipeline integrity.

axial Stress sensor
The sensor applies an AC magnetic field to the steel and measures the resulting magnetic response. Tensile stress alters magnetic permeability along its axis, enabling calibrated tools to convert these changes into quantitative stress values.
Pipeline Movement
Comparison against a baseline allows for rapid detection of pipe movement following a geohazard event.
